Rhondda Breast Friends > What we do
What we do PDF Print E-mail
Our main aim is to support each other. We have learnt that just being in touch with each other is incredibly helpful. Breast cancer can be isolating and scary, but meeting others and sharing information makes a real difference.

We hold meetings twice a month to which anyone is welcome to "drop-in" (see our meetings page).

  • Our evening meetings may have a breast cancer-related topic or an introduction to various complementary therapies or crafts with an external speaker and there is always plenty of time for coffee and tea.
  • Our coffee mornings are time to have a chat in comfortable surroundings and we have negotiated with a local health club for members to enjoy their facilities in a group within a supportive setting.
  • We also hold social events and trips as well as fundraising.

"We are a force for change, listening to people affected by cancer and working together to improve cancer care. Our community cancer conference and carers workshops have been well attended with fabulous feedback, see get involved.
